Van Gogh’s Ear

Jose Hernandez Diaz

Van Gogh cut off his ear.

What if he’d never cut off his ear?

Painting didn’t stop after Van Gogh.

What if it’d stopped after Cezanne?

What if it’d stopped after Kahlo?

After Carrington? Basquiat?

What if it’d stopped? His ear.
